Membership Categories:
Builders: Land developers and those who are directly involved in building homes.
Associates: Those who provide products or services to home builders.
Affiliates: Those who work for a company (at the same address) who is already an Associate Member.
Apply before noon on Sept. 27 for Oct. 5 approvals. Next cutoff is Oct. 25 for Nov. 2 approvals.
IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION: Regarding MEMBERSHIP DUES paid to Tyler Area Builders Association, the portion attributable to “lobbying activities” is NOT deductible from federal income taxes as an ordinary and necessary cost of doing business per the 1993 U.S. Congress Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act.
For dues paid in 2010, the total amount of state and national dues that is NOT deductible as a business expense for a builder or associate member is $83.50 and $19.85 for an affiliate member.
